4 Simple Steps to Staying Motivated

Is motivation, or a lack thereof, keeping you from accomplishing a goal?

I get asked about this a lot.              Slide1

“How do you stay motivated?”

“Do you ever just lay on the sofa?”

Lol.

Yes. Yes, I do.

Quite a bit actually (holy House of Cards binge watching 😉

Also, I’ve been pushing myself in the food, fitness, and business game long enough to have mastered a few motivation tricks propel me to do the really juicy stuff.

Like:

  • Travel on average, 2 to 3 months a year for the last 5 years.
  • Start (and keep!) my own business.
  • Write a book.
  • Stay fit while having fun. It never feels like a chore.
  • Do pull ups on my own.
  • Eat clean, 80 – 90% of the time.
  • Strut my stuff in a bikini competition next to girls 15 years younger.
  • And more.

I’m always setting new goals. Because without them anything could happen.

What if you walked into a restaurant and said, I’ll take whatever.

Wouldn’t you rather have your favorite meal?

Motivating yourself to accomplish goals is like ordering your favorite dish at your favorite restaurant.

It’s your life. Choose how you want to live it.

And while I love to have a glass of wine and watch House of Cards, I can easily become seduced by it night after night.

So, I need to motivate myself too.
