Hi all.
So, my New Year’s resolution for 2012 was to start a blog about my quest as a personal trainer to feel really good, all the time. Feeling really good all the time helps me stay on top of my fitness – which you may have noticed by now that I have a fetish for.
You may have also noticed that it’s DECEMBER, and therefore a whopping 11 months since my resolution. I have agonized over the name. Read blogs about blogs and books about blogging. Rescheduled a million design meetings. Mentally written a dozen entries. But, ultimately, I’ve been blocking myself from pulling the trigger. What, ME, type A- extraordinaire, self-sabotaging? Yes, it does happen, and apparently for nearly a year. It’s been stressing me out.
Last night I watched a fantastic documentary called “The Cure is You”. It discusses the power of our thoughts and how stress and a lack of expression actually leads to the opposite of fitness – sickness! This may be stuff I already know, but it spoke to me. And, since I want to feel really good, all time, so I can be as fit as my body would like me to be, I decided this morning that despite the metaphorical bare walls and unopened boxes, it was time to open the doors. Forgive the bare-bones decor and fuzzy logo…I’ve just moved in!
It would be fun if you joined me on this adventure as I pursue my love of fitness. It will evolve into something quite awesome, I know it.
As a little thank you presie, attached is the trailer and free link to the film that got me off my self-sabotaging butt and to pull the trigger. I think you have seven days to watch it, so hurry! It’s worth your time. Gather the family, bake some kale chips, and enjoy.
Here is the trailer:
With love, Andrea
P.S. Please leave feedback! Please feel free to comment, offer me suggestions, and tell me what you’d like to read about. Thanks!
